Ayurvedic skin care with Almond lotion

Most ayurvedic skin care lotions and creams have almond as an ingredient. Here are a few Ayurvedic almond lotions and creams for improving skin texture and for enjoying a healthy skin.

Almond nourishing cream: A nourishing cream made from a combination of almond oil, Wheat germ oil, sandalwood, and nutmeg, helps in keeping skin smooth and soft. It also provides moisture, while retaining skin tone. Nutmeg and Wheat germ oil combine to uplift and rejuvenate your skin, while also being good anti-wrinkle agents. This could be used as a night cream at bedtime.

Almond and Saffron Moisturizing lotion: A lotion made by combining wheat-germ oil, almond oil, beharea, saffron and fenugreek, helps in skin softening and improving blood supply and in re-vitalizing the skin.

Almond Hand and Body lotion: A lotion ciontaining Almond, Jatamansi, Sunflower, Safflower and Wheatgerm oil is a rich luxurious formulation, which nourishes and moisturizes the body. It is easily absorbed into the skin, leaving it smooth and soft. Almond and safflower being natural moisturizers, softens skin, while Jatamansi is a natural stimulant, which helps in removing dead cells.

Almond and Cucumber Extract moisturizing Cream: This moisturizing day cream, containing cucumber extract, soothes and refreshes skin, while the sweet almond oil supplies additional nourishment, leaving skin more radiant and pampered and youthful. This also fights aging of the skin.

Almond-Rose Body lotion: This is an easy to make almond body lotion, which can be easily prepared at home. Stir together, ¼ cup each of rosewater and glycerin. Add 2tbs of witch hazel and 1tbs. of almond oil and mix well till they dissolve. Use regularly for a smooth, even skin tone.
